Half price: adults over 60 and students.
Free: children up to 5 years old, tourist guides, teachers, caregivers and Ilha and Barra de Guaratiba residents with an Sítio Roberto Burle Marx membership card. Free access is also conceded, upon request, to public schools and various groups such as NGOs, Ministry of Tourism staff, senior citizens groups, social projects and others.

Individual or group visits are exclusively by previously scheduled.

The visit, which lasts around 1 and a half hours, is on foot, covering 1,800 metres, and rises 45 metres from the starting point. The walk covers the gardens, house and work spaces originally used by Roberto Burle Marx, as well as the Sítio’s other buildings.
Two groups of up to 35 people are formed per period, limiting to 140 the number of daily visitors to the site, with the objective of promoting sustainable use of the heritage with the lowest possible impact on the ecosystem.

Mobility and Languages

The Sítio Roberto Burle Marx has an electric vehicle available for people with reduced mobility and monitors who can conduct guided tours in English, as well as an audio guide app, which is installed on tablets available to the public, in English, Spanish, sign language and audio description.

Should any of these resources be required, they should be requested upon booking.

Schools

On Tuesdays and Wednesdays, the Sítio Roberto Burle Marx prioritises schools, with free access for the state school system.

Groups

Special visits are offered to particular groups and from institutions with a focus on specific interests, such as undergraduate or postgraduate students, researchers, landscapers and themed tourism groups upon request here.
